KEAM 2025 Entrance Exam Overview

The KEAM 2025 entrance examination is a crucial step for students looking to secure admission to engineering and pharmacy programs in Kerala for the academic year 2025-26. The exam will be conducted over multiple days and shifts, with additional buffer days set aside on April 22, 23, 29, and 30, 2025, in case of any unforeseen circumstances. The test will take place at exam centers across Kerala, as well as in Dubai, Delhi, and Mumbai.

  • Admission Criteria:
    Admission to engineering courses will be determined through a 50:50 weightage system, combining KEAM entrance exam scores and Class 12 marks.

  • Eligibility Criteria:

    • Age Requirement: Candidates must be 17 years or older on or before December 31, 2025. There is no upper age limit, and no relaxation will be given for the minimum age requirement.
    • Nationality: Applicants must be Indian nationals or permanent residents of India. OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) and PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) candidates are also eligible to apply.

  • Mode of Examination:
    KEAM 2025 will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format.

  • For Engineering Candidates:

    • Total Questions: 150
    • Breakdown:
      • Mathematics: 75 questions
      • Physics: 45 questions
      • Chemistry: 30 questions
    • Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours)
  • For Pharmacy (BPharm) Candidates:

    • Total Questions: 75
    • Breakdown:
      • Physics: 45 questions
      • Chemistry: 30 questions
    • Duration: 90 minutes
 

Marking Scheme:

  • Correct Answer: +4 marks
  • Incorrect Answer: -1 mark (penalty for wrong answers)
 

Syllabus:

The KEAM 2025 syllabus will consist of Plus Two-level topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The official syllabus is available for download on the KEAM website, and candidates are encouraged to review previous years' question papers for exam preparation.

KEAM 2025 Registration

To apply for KEAM 2025, candidates must visit the official website of CEE Kerala, cee.kerala.gov.in. The registration process involves submitting personal information such as your name, mobile number, email address, and date of birth. Upon completing the registration, candidates will receive login credentials via mobile or email.

How to Register for KEAM 2025

  1. Visit the official website: cee.kerala.gov.in
  2. Enter basic personal details like your name, date of birth, email, and mobile number.
  3. Once registration is complete, login credentials will be sent to your registered mobile number or email.
  4. Use the credentials to access the KEAM application form.
  5. Select the course(s) you wish to apply for and provide your preference for the exam centers.
  6. Upload a scanned photograph and signature in JPEG format, adhering to the specified size and dimension requirements.
  7. Pay the required application fee.
  8. After completing the application form and fee payment, take a printout of the application form and transaction receipt for future reference.

Documents Required for KEAM 2025 Registration

  • Scanned copies of passport-sized photograph and signature.
  • Class 12 (10+2) certificates.
  • Aadhar card (as proof of age).
  • PAN card (as proof of address).

KEAM 2025 Application Fee

The application fee must be paid via a Demand Draft (DD) in favor of CEE, Kerala, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

Additional Fee for Dubai Exam Center

KEAM 2025 Eligibility Criteria

General Eligibility:

  • Candidates must be 17 years old on or before 31st December 2025 to be eligible for KEAM 2025. There is no upper age limit for applying to the exam.
  • Only Indian nationals and permanent residents of India can apply for the exam. OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) and PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) candidates are also eligible to apply.

 

Eligibility for Engineering, Pharmacy, Medicine, and Allied Sciences Courses:

  • Education Requirements: Candidates must have completed 12th grade from the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or an equivalent recognized board.
  • For candidates applying for engineering and pharmacy programs, the following conditions apply:
    • Minimum Marks: At least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology or Computer Science.
    • For specific programs like BTech (Food Engineering), BTech (Dairy Science & Technology), and BTech (Agricultural Engineering), candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% aggregate marks in Physics and Chemistry.
    • Candidates seeking admission under the Management Quota in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges/Government-Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges need a 45% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry combined.

KEAM 2025 Eligibility for B.Arch:

  • Candidates must have passed the 12th grade with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in each subject, including Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, as compulsory subjects.
  • Alternatively, candidates with a 10+3 diploma in any stream, with Mathematics as a compulsory subject, are eligible to apply.
  • NATA 2025 Score: Candidates must also have a valid NATA 2025 score card. The NATA score should be obtained on or before 30th June 2025 to qualify for KEAM 2025.

KEAM Eligibility for B. Pharm:

  • Candidates must have passed the 12th grade examination with:
    • 50% marks in Biology or Mathematics.
    • 50% in total aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics combined.

KEAM Eligibility for MBBS, BDS, and BSMS:

  • Candidates must have completed their 12th grade (or equivalent) with:
    • 50% marks in Biology/Biotechnology.
    • 50% in total aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology combined.
  • Additionally, candidates must have a valid NEET 2025 score card for these courses.
